Chetan Singh Jaudamajra, Minister of Horticulture and Information and Public Relations, Punjab conducted a surprise check at 7:30 am at the Head Office of Director Horticulture, Punjab. During the surprise check 06 officers/employees were found absent. The Cabinet Minister asked the officials/employees to be punctual in the office.

Chandigarh, May 29, 2023: Chetan Singh Jaudamajra, Minister of Horticulture and Information and Public Relations, Punjab conducted a surprise check at 7:30 am at the Head Office of Director Horticulture, Punjab. During the surprise check 06 officers/employees were found absent. The Cabinet Minister asked the officials/employees to be punctual in the office.

Hailing the decision of the Bhagwant Mann government of change in office timings as a novel initiative , Jauramajra said our visionary chief minister's aim was to make public offices in the state more efficient. As general public will be able to get the required government services during early hours of the day. After getting the desired services people can concentrate on their other familial responsibilities. In this way they will not have to wait till 5 PM .But government servants also need to buckle up and change their habits. Every government employee should be present in the office at the designated time of 7:30 in the morning. He exhorted the employees to become catalysts of change in fulfilling the dream of Bhagwant Mann in the making of Rangla Punjab. Public should not face any inconvenience in getting the services at government offices. He also warned of strict disciplinary action if any employee is found to be late in future.

Horticulture Minister also reviewed various schemes running in the department. Jauramajra instructed the Director Horticulture that the departmental schemes should be propagated and extended to the farmers as much as possible so that the farmers can benefit from the departmental schemes.
