Chemistry Department of DAV College creates history by bagging 9 out of 10 top position in GNDU Exams

Jalandhar, April 6, 2019: Chemistry Department of DAV College, Jalandhar creates history by bagging 9 out of 10 top position in the exams conducted by Guru Nanak Dev University.

Students of DAV College, Jalandhar once again did their best in the University Examinations. 9 Students of M. SC (Chemistry) Department bagged out of 10 top position in the university. Avneet Kaur remained on the top by scoring 390/450 marks whereas Rupanshi Puri scored 379/400 and bagged second university position. Komal scored 373/400 marks and bagged third University Position. Fifth position was bagged by Shuchita by scoring 360/400, Sixth by Preeti by scoring 353/400, Seventh by Yritika by scoring 348/400, Eighth by Arihant by scoring 347/450, Ninth by Paramjit by scoring 342/450 and Tenth by Heena by scoring 341/450 .

Principal Dr. S. K. Arora said that it a proud moment for DAV as top 9 positions are bagged by our College. It is all because of the hardwork of the students as well as the teachers who made the students understand each and every topic in an easy way. Dr. Arora said that our college staff always puts enough efforts upon it's students and it becomes the duty of the students to pay back by scoring good marks and our students had always did that . He also congratulated the toppers and whole of the Chemistry department for such an achievement.

HOD of Chemistry Department Prof. Chander Kumar Sikka said that He can't express his happiness in the words today as his department students did fantastic in the University Results. He said that Our department has always tried to give students practical knowledge along with the bookish knowledge. It is because students learn more practically and practical knowledge stays in the mind forever. He congratulated the toppers and motivated other students to do the same. He gave his best wishes to every student of his department.

Avneet Kaur said that our teachers paid full attention towards each child in the class . It is because of them today that i have secured First university position and my friends other nine positions in the top 10 only. She said that her parents always encouraged her as they have faith on her due to which she also put her 100% in the University exams and the result is in front of everyone today. She said that she will try to continue on being at first position only. At last Avneet thanked her teachers who made her prepare so well.
