Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agriculture University decided white dress code for students

Chandigarh, July 8, 2015: The Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agriculture University, Hisar has decided white dress code for the students coming to get their degrees in the convocation function instead of conventional gowns.

While stating this today, an official spokesman said that the university would celebrate its 24th convocation function on July 26, in which degree of graduate, master’s and doctorate would be awarded to students who passed out their academics between January 1, 2013 to December 31, 2014. The students would be awarded degrees in the set dress code which would be arranged by them at their own level. 

He said that according to the dress code, male students coming for degrees would wear white shirt, white trousers, black shoes, black belt and white socks. Similarly, women coming for degrees would wear white saree with red border, white blouse with short sleeves and black shoes or black sandals. In specific situation, women are also allowed to wear white shirt with red border, white salwar and black shoes or sandals instead of sarees. / (SK Vyas, Jalandhar)
