Jalandhar, November 27, 2021: CHARISMA -2021, the Mega Annual Fresher’s Party of DAVIET, Jalandhar, was organized with great pomp and show here in the campus today. The event is a formal welcome to the first year entrants by their seniors. It provided the students with a platform to exhibit their talent in a wide variety of cultural events. The foot-tapping music, the flashlights, along with the excitement and high spirits of the youngsters made the party unbridled and exuberant. 
Jovial smiles and high spirits marked the welcome party for the students. The ramp walk was a great hit with the audience. In a very tough and competitive three rounds, the contestants tried to outperform each other to get the top positions. 
The expert judges of the event were Mr Harpreet Singh Rimpy,  a famous writer, actor and director; Prof. Navroop Kaur, Dean Youth Welfare, Hans Raj Mahila Mahavidyalaya; Dr Ashmeen,  Associate Professor Psychology, Hans Raj Mahavidyalaya, Jalandhar.   
Dr Manoj Kumar, Principal DAVIET, extended a rapturous welcome to the Chief Guest, Dr Ramesh Kumar Arya, Vice President, DAVCMC, and other distinguished dignitaries to the Fresher’s Meet.  Addressing the euphoric entrants, he termed Fresher’s Party as the flagship mega event for the students of the first year, connoting a Formal welcome extended to them by their seniors. Dr Manoj stated this to be an event by the students and for the students and applauded their dynamic and creative organizational efforts for organizing this grand event. He highlighted that in the post covid world, we all need to be responsible in our overall social conduct and strive to excel in our respective fields. He urged the students to be punctual with the hybrid classroom schedule. He also touched upon the institution’s achievements and shared that we have been the winner of the PTU Youth festival ever since its inception. The placements of the institute are at an all-time high, and the highest pay package of Rs 22 Lakh was given to a student of CSE.  He showed his indebtedness towards the mentors at DAVCMC New Delhi, who have always stood by DAVIETians through thick and thin. He especially applauded the work done by Dr Ramesh Kumar Arya to bring about academic reforms in the institutions managed by DAVCMC, New Delhi. 
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Guest of the function, Dr Ramesh Kumar Arya, congratulated the young and vibrant DAVIETians for organizing this mega event. He highlighted that society is transforming, and the first and foremost thing to succeed is to remain disciplined. He shared the ingredients to succeed in life: hard work, dedication, perseverance, knowledge and health. He motivated the students to give their best in life as they are all at the take-off stage of their careers, and today’s hard work will take them a long way in life. He also urged all present to remain dynamic and flexible as the world has changed because of the pandemic. He emphasized that we all should stay positive in the post lockdown period and give our best to achieve our aims and ambitions in life
The function ended with the National Anthem.
