Charanjit Singh Channi Felicitates KMV Students

Jalandhar, July 27, 2018: In Kanya Maha Vidyalaya, the Heritage and Autonomous Institution, Jalandhar Mr.Charanjit Singh Channi, Honorable Minister of Technical Educational and Industrial Development, Punjab felicitated the students of KMV. It is worth mentioning here that KMV is the first college of GNDU to be awarded the DDU Kaushal Kendra by MHRD, Govt.of India. Students of six B.Voc courses namely Textile Design and Apparel Technology, Animation, Retail Management, Management and Secretarial Practices, Nutrition Exercise and Health and Photography and Journalism were awarded certificates from Sector Skill Councils, Govt. of India. KMV annual publication Sports Magazine Sports Newsline was also released on this occasion. Sports faculty Mrs. Ashoo Bajaj and the editor of sports news line Dr. Madhumeet was also present on the occasion. Mr. Charanjit Singh Channi who interacted with the KMVites during the Zee TV programme Sarkar Se Samvad lauded KMV for its exemplary service to the cause of women empowerment and education and averred that KMV stands in top leagues of higher education and has played a pivotal role in education sector. While emphasizes on the role of technical education for skill development he also threw light on various programmes and policies of Punjab Govt for the development of the state. Responding to a querry of Principal Prof Atima Sharma Dwivedi, the minister the role of Kanya Maha Vidyalaya-an iconic institution with matchless infrastructure, Qualitative teaching and visionary administration for setting precedents in the history of higher education for women. Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi appreciated the organizers Dr. Madhumeet, Dean Student welfare, Dr. Gurjot, Ms. Manpreet Kaur, Ms. Nidhi Sharma, Mr. Sehajpal and Mr. Sandeep Singh.
