Chandigarh State Football: St. John's crushes Saffron FC 8-2

Chandigarh, December 21, 2025: The Chandigarh Youth Football League for State Championship, organized by the Chandigarh Football Association (CFA), continued with full enthusiasm and excitement on the second day. St. John's-26 registered the biggest win of the day in the Under-15 category, while Sandhu FC secured one-sided victories in both the Under-13 and Under-15 categories.
In the Under-15 Boys match played at the Sector-46 Sports Complex, St. John's-26 delivered a stellar performance, defeating Saffron FC 8-2. Lengunhao scored a hat-trick for the winning team with goals in the 18th, 27th, and 38th minutes. Dhananjay, Ganesh, Abhiraj, Rohan, and Himanshu also scored one goal each. Only Kirat and Harman managed to score for Saffron FC.
In the same category, Sandhu FC defeated Burail FC 7-0. Adhiral and Ajay scored two goals each for the winning team, while Aarav Roy, Shlok, and Ayush scored one goal each. In another exciting match, Vivek FC defeated Himalayan FC 3-2. Naman, Viraj, and Veer scored for Vivek FC, while Abhay and Agam scored one goal each for Himalayan FC. The match between Velocity FC and Uttarakhand FC ended in a 1-1 draw. Ayush scored for Velocity and Devansh scored for Uttarakhand.

St. Stephen's continues winning streak:
In the Under-13 Boys category, St. Stephen's maintained its excellent form, defeating United-39 FC 7-0. Siraj scored a hat-trick in the 8th, 18th, and 23rd minutes, while Iransh, Aritveer, Kritagya, and Vihan Kumar scored one goal each. Vivek FC defeated Sai Baba FC 2-1. Vihan scored both goals for the winning team, while Pankaj scored the lone goal for Sai Baba FC. In another match, Himalayan FC defeated Rajeshwar FC 2-1. Tapish and Prince scored for Himalayan FC, while Daksh scored for Rajeshwar FC. Burail FC defeated Vertex FC 3-2. Lakshit scored two goals and Dupesh scored one for Burail, while Manan and Samagra scored one goal each for Vertex FC.

Divyug's second consecutive hat-trick
Sandhu FC continued their dominance in the Under-13 category, defeating Royal Greater FC 7-0. The team's star player, Divyug, scored a hat-trick in the 4th, 9th, and 14th minutes, his second consecutive hat-trick. Abhidash scored two goals, while Oliver and Bidyaraj scored one goal each. 3BRD FC defeated Tribune FC 1-0 in a close match. Ayushman scored the only goal for the team. St. John's FC defeated Saffron Arrows 2-0. Roshan and Yuvraj scored one goal each. In another league match, Banyan Tree FC defeated Blue Star FC 2-1. Aarav scored both goals for the winning team, while Deepanshu scored for Blue Star FC.
