Chandigarh-Ferozepur Superfast Express unveiled

Ferozepur, March 12, 2014: Though, Ferozepur division is one of the oldest and largest divisions of Northern Railways, it has always received the ignorance for long when it comes to allocation of new trains. People generally make hue and cry over lack of trains for major destinations.
Amidst all this, much awaited Ferozepur-Chandigarh Superfast Express (Train Number 04508) took its first flight from Ferozepur to Chandigarh today. Amidst cheerful passengers, who were happy over the fact that a train on this route has finally started, there was even more cheerful Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) among them.
Ferozepur DRM Naresh Chander Goyal, delightfully expressed his notions over the fact that Ferozepur Railway Division has a new train on anvil. Though, the train had started its journey from Chandigarh to Ferozepur last day (Train Number 04507), it was the first opportunity for the residents of this border town to enjoy the ride of this Superfast Express.
The train shall start its journey at 7.00 am daily at hit will reach Ludhiana at 09.00 am where the train shall be linked with Amritsar-Chandigarh train (Number 12242) to reach Chandigarh on 11.05 am.
The same train shall commence its journey from Chandigarh to Ferozepur at 7.30 pm. The train shall reach Ludhiana at 09.00. After delinking process of 20-25 minutes (Amritsar-Chandigarh train), it shall continue its journey to reach Ferozepur at 11.30 pm.
Parminder Singh Pinki, MLA, Ferozepur (Urban), who took the initiative for the launching of this new train by putting the matter forward to Union Railways Minister Mallikarjun Kharge, also marked his presence on the beginning of this new train. He, along with Chamkaur Singh Dhindsa, President, Congress Committee, Ferozepur and other supporters, shared the moments with the passenger.
The DRM said, though the train is running on a trial basis, for a very short span of 42 days, he is confident enough that the Ministry of Railways shall continue the service of this train on regular basis. The train shall follow the route of Ferozepur-Moga-Ludhiana-Khanna-Kharar to reach Chandigarh at 11.05 am.
This Superfast Express consist one AC Chair Car, six 2nd Class Sitting Car and two general bogies for the comfort of the passengers. People expressed their joy by saying that the beginning of this train is the best thing since sliced bread. Reaching Chandigarh in such nominal fair is best of both worlds for everyone.
