Chandigarh Beopar Mandal submits demands memo to Congress

Chandigarh, December 18, 2021: A delegation of Chandigarh Beopar Mandal, an apex body of traders of Chandigarh, led by its President Chiranjiv Singh, Patron Diwakar Sahoonja, Advisors Balwinder Singh and Pritpal Singh Sodhi and General Secretaries Naresh Mahajan Sanjeev Chadha today met Pawan Kumar Bansal, Treasurer AICC and Subhash Chawla, President CTCC at Chandigarh Congress Bansal
Mandal submitted a memorandum containing demands of traders of the city, said Rajesh Sharma, Spokesman of Chandigarh Congress.
The issues discussed in the meeting were beautification and cleanliness of markets, renovation of public toilets in the markets, expansion of parking facility in markets, provision for marriage palaces in city, creating of separate vendor zones in city, reasonable garbage collection charges, reasonable water tariff, fire safety measures in commercial establishments, e-challan by the enforcement staff without lifting of goods, no further increased in property tax on commercial building, removable sign boards in markets by authorities and provision parking in the markets on v-4 roads.
The delegation members desired that after victory in Chandigarh Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh Congress should strive to address the genuine problems of the traders of the city.
Subhash Chawla assured that all the genuine issues of the traders of the city shall be taken up and addressed in the upcoming Congress led Municipal Corporation.
