Chakkalan village’s team wins Volleyball tournament organised by CT Group of Institutions

Ludhiana, June 25, 2016: Chakkalan village’s team won the Volleyball tournament in a tough fight with Kalean Wala village’s team with 15-11 points, organised by CT Group of Institutions at the premises of Upcoming CT University campus, Ferozepur Road, Ludhiana.
The Kailpur Village’s team won the third place. The top three winning teams were felicitated with the prize money of Rs. 11,000, Rs. 51,00 and Rs. 31,00, respectively. The player of the tournament trophy was won by Gagandeep Singh Sran.
The participating teams included Bharowal, Changna, Gureh, Chak Kala, Kaunke Kala, Hans Kala, Soia and others.
Dr Pravin Kumar (Head, Physical Education, CT Group of Institutions) congratulated the winning team of the tournament. He said, “The tournament is organised with a motive to encourage the student’s interest towards different games. Volleyball is a wonderful game that needs to be uplifted and liked by our youngsters. The participating teams have enjoyed playing this sport and we are sure they will continue doing so.”
He said, “CT Institutions stands tall among competitors with the entire advanced sports infrastructure at campus. For the overall development of students as well as to take care of their physical, mental and social well being sports are must. We believe the true road to permanent success in any sphere is to make yourself a master in that sphere.”
Harpreet Singh (Vice- Chairman, CT Group of Institutions) wished the winning and all the participating teams of the tournament. He advocated the importance of sports in our life to ensure healthy mind, body and soul.
