The ‘AICTE-CII survey of Industry Linked Technical Institutes 2017’ has given a gold rating to Chandigarh Group of Colleges (CGC) Landran. The institution was evaluated on parameters including Placements, Faculty, Curriculum, Infrastructure, Services/Project & Skill development and Governance. CGC Landran was among the 700+ institutes that passed through both the short survey and full survey evaluation stages out of the 9500+ technical institutions from across the country, which participated in the survey. Experts from industry and academia were a part of the survey process which also included visits to institutes for on-site assessment of industry linkages of institutes.

This was the sixth edition of the AICTE-CII survey. The objective of the two part survey was to utilize it as a tool to measure the depth and extent of collaborations between technical institutions in the country and industry, thereby, providing them a chance to reinforce their industry linkages and leverage them to bridge the gap between industry and academia, benefiting the students and faculty in the long run.

Satnam Singh Sandhu, Chairman CGC Landran and Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President, CGC Landran welcomed this joint initiative by AICTE and CII to strengthen industry-academia interface. They further added that the ranking was testament of CGC’s promise of providing its students & faculty with the best of industry exposure by way of regular events and internships as also introducing new industry relevant courses in the curriculum. They reiterated their commitment to continue making efforts in this direction and provide CGCians an apt platform to interact with and learn from experts helping them become competent, industry-ready professionals, going forward.
