CGC Jhanjeri’s boys and girls Volleyball Teams make history with gold medal victory

Mohali, February 23, 2024: CGC Jhanjeri's Boys and Girls Volleyball Teams have left an indelible mark in the annals of sports history by clinching the Gold Medal at the IKGPTU Tournament hosted at SVIET, Bannur.

The Boys' matches unfolded in two exciting rounds, featuring knockout matches and league matches. In the knockout stage, CGC Jhanjeri faced tough opponents, RBIM Hoshiarpur, LKCET Jalandhar, and IKGPTU Jalandhar. Remarkably, CGC Jhanjeri emerged victorious in three consecutive knockout matches, showcasing exceptional skill and determination.

Transitioning to the league matches, CGC Jhanjeri faced equally challenging rivals – DAVIET Jalandhar, GGI Khanna, and SVIET Bannur. The Boys once again displayed their prowess on the volleyball court, securing victories in all three league matches.

On the Girls' side, the knockout match against GIPS Khanna was a testament to the resilience and talent of CGC Jhanjeri's female athletes. The Girls' team emerged triumphant, setting the stage for their dominance in the subsequent league matches.

The Girls' league matches saw CGC Jhanjeri facing off against DAVIET Jalandhar, SVIET Bannur, and CGC Landran. True to their winning streak, the Girls' team secured victories in all three league matches, solidifying their claim to the Gold Medal.
