CGC adopts 5 nearby villages

Chandigarh: Chandigarh Engineering College, Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Landran has been selected as a participating Institute under the flagship Program of Ministry of Human Resource & Development, GOI, Unnat Bharat Abhiyan 2.0 (UBA 2.0). The college has received a grant through Govt. of India for carrying out social development activities in rural area with the mission to identify development challenges in the rural India and evolve appropriate solutions for accelerating sustainable growth. The college has already adopted 5 nearby villages namely; Sawara, Saidpur, Kailon, Bairampur and Maujpur where regular social development activities will be organized in the future. 
It aims to create a virtuous cycle between society and an inclusive academic system by providing knowledge and practices for emerging professions and to upgrade the capabilities of both the public and the private sectors in responding to the development needs of rural India.
