CEO releases district election management plan of Patiala parliamentary constituency

Chandigarh, April 1, 2014: The Punjab Chief Electoral Officer VK Singh along with Additional CEO Raminder Singh today released a comprehensive District Election Management Plan (DEMC) of Patiala Parliamentary constituency.
Appreciating the efforts of GK Singh, District Election Officer-&-Deputy Commissioner, Patiala for compiling this complete document, VK Singh expressed confidence that it would help the administration in conducting the elections effectively in free, fair and peaceful manner. Describing DEMC a unique example of election preparedness of Patiala administration, the CEO said that other districts should also follow it. Additional CEO Raminder Singh said that DEMC has immense futuristic value and it could also become baseline for future elections.
Explaining CEO about DEMC, GK Singh said that it comprised off Patiala district profile, glance at Assembly constituencies, electoral details, polling station, logistic plan, movement plan, police deployment plan, communication plan, counting plan, polling staff welfare, SVEEP, Model Code of Conduct, Media Certification & Monitoring Committee, Expenditure monitoring, EVM management and training of polling staff.
