Chandigarh, February 10, 2026: Centre for Public Health, Panjab University, organised an awareness session under the mentorship of Chairperson Dr Manoj Kumar, in collaboration with Girls’ Hostel No. 1, Panjab University, in the presence of faculty member Poonam Sharma. The special guests of the event, Dr Anju Goyal, Rajni and Arpita Ray, were felicitated.
Dr Akshita Bhati, an esteemed public health professional, spearheaded a workshop titled “HPV Vaccine and Cervical Cancer Prevention”. During the programme, she discussed the importance of the HPV vaccine and its role in cervical cancer prevention.
Teachers and students expressed their appreciation, noting that the programme provided much-needed guidance and awareness. The event underscored Panjab University’s commitment to prioritising community health, education and awareness among its members.
