Centre for Police Administration celebrated “Har Ghar Tiranga – Sadak Suraksha, Jeevan Raksha” Pre-Independence Day Event with Chandigarh Traffic Police

Chandigarh, August 14, 2025: The Centre for Police Administration, Panjab University in collaboration with Chandigarh Traffic Police& National Cadet Corps (NCC), Panjab University Chandigarh,, today organised a Pre-Independence Day Awareness event under the theme “Har GharTiranga – Sadak Suraksha, Jeevan Raksha”.
Dr. Kuldeep Singh, Chairman, Centre for Police Administration, introduced the Har Ghar Tiranga initiative encouraging students to take pride in the national flag while committing to safe and responsible road behaviour. The program was conducted by Inspector Dr. Parvesh Sharma, In charge, Children Traffic Park, Chandigarh, along with her dedicated team from the Chandigarh Traffic Police.
The event aimed to blend patriotic fervor with the vital message of road safety and life protection.
The Traffic Police team educated participants on road safety measures, proper use of helmets, the Good Samaritan scheme for assisting road crash victims, facilities for persons with disabilities, and the importance of giving way to ambulances. Activities included interaction with commuters, distribution of awareness pamphlets, and symbolic display of the Tiranga to promote unity, discipline, and safety on the roads.
Faculty members of Dr. Shaveta Begra, Dr. Satnam Singh, Dr Sanjeev Ranjan, Dr. Daljit Kaur, Office Staff members and 60 students from the Centre and NCC participated actively in the event.
The event concluded with a pledge to uphold the ideals of Independence and work towards safer roads for all.
