Central Government’s policy to crush people’s movements in name of Corona is inhuman

Ludhiana: Union Minister Tomar’s statement that farmers should go back to their places as COVID is increasing shows total lack of concern about Farmers demands. It is strange that he has not uttered a single word about those visiting Kumbh or election rallies without any precautions. We the doctors have been organising medical camps for farmers at Singhu and Tikri borders  regularly but there is hardly any government run support for farmers’ health problems. When the Prime Minister announced lockdown without any preparation which left crores without food, jobs and livelihood, it is  the farmers came out to support the poor to meet their hunger.

In a statement Drs Arun Mitra, Balir Singh, Gagandeep, Param Saini, Monika Dhawan, Nvdeep Khaira, Suraj Dhillon and  Gurveer Singh said that we are fully concerned about increase in the cases of COVID and therefore appeal to all the people, particularly the farmers that long struggles are ahead therefore it is important to stay safe and remain healthy which can be done to a large extent by using mask on face and nose,  washing hands regularly, and maintaining physical distance to prevent not only Corona infection but several other diseases which spread through respiratory route.
