Central Command defeated Western Command by score line of 2-1 and were crowned Champions of Inter Command Hockey Championship 2022-23.

Jalandhar, May 8, 2022: Central Command defeated Western Command by score line of 2-1 and were crowned Champions of Inter Command Hockey Championship 2022-23.  Sepoy Lakhvinder Singh scored the winning goal.  The high intensity clash between Western and Central Command teams witnessed keen contests between forwards and goalkeepers, great stick work and display of exceptional skills.

The Finals of Army Inter Command Hockey Championship 2022-23 was held at Astroturf Hockey Ground, Katoch Stadium. The championship was held for six days in which five teams from Southern, Eastern, Western, Central and South Western Commands participated.
 
Lieutenant General Devendra Sharma, General Officer Commanding, Vajra Corps awarded the coveted trophy to the champions. General Officer Commanding, Vajra Corps reiterated the importance of games in military life. This is for the first time championship is being held in FIH certified global Field Category Astroturf Hockey Ground, Jalandhar Cantt.
