Celebration of World Postal Day in Horizon School of Excellence

Ludhiana, October 9, 2023: To celebrate the World Postal Day in Horizon School of Excellence, Bhamian Road on Monday, an array of fun activities were organised for children of Grade PV- II.

 
World Postal Day is celebrated globally to express gratitude to all  post officers and postmen who have been helping us to stay connected across places around the country and globe for years.

 
Students of all the classes from PV- Grade II were shown an educative and interactive PowerPoint presentation made by their educators. The objective was  to take them through the journey of communication through eras, add to their general knowledge  and create awareness about the postal services in our country.

Students were also made aware of the additional services provided by post offices. These included registered posts and saving schemes.
 

Students of class I and II made envelopes and learnt about sending and posting letters to their loved ones . Students of Class Upvan drew colourful drawings on postcards,  put stamps and learnt where to write the address on the post cards.
 

The purpose of this day was to sensitise children and create awareness  about the importance of  post office and postal services in our day to day lives to keep us connected with our loved ones as well in businesses and its contribution in economy.
 

Principal, Jasdeep Kaur guided how to effectively blend  the curriculum  and give students the exposure to diverse co-curricular activities  and special days to explore and develop their social skills and moral values.
