Celebration of Swachhta Pakhwada by UPSO-2

Noida, July 20, 2023: In line with the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Swachhta Pakhwada was celebrated by Indian Oil Corporation Ltd, UPSO-II, Noida under the leadership of Shyam Bohra, Executive Director and State Head recently.

The Swachhta Pakhwada started with administering Swachhta pledge by Sailesh Kumar, Asst Director MoPNG along with Bohra. Swachhta Pakhwada was flagged off by them to mark the occasion and to spread awareness on cleanliness.  UPSO-II organized various Swachhta activities across its locations spreading in Uttarakhand & Western Part of Uttar Pradesh to spread awareness about clean and green India. It organized a cleanliness drive and sustainable drive through planting of saplings, creating awareness through world’s oldest forms of theatre “Nukkad Natak”.

UPSO-II also distributed saplings to General Public and inspired them to do their bit by planting saplings. Officials of UPSO-II distributed jute bags to encourage people to avoid single-use plastic and for a sustainable future.  Also handed over various hygiene items like Bathing Soap, mask, sanitizer and Drinking water. A talk on “health & hygiene” for females and “Climate change & mitigation strategy by a common man” were conducted. UPSO-II is continuously striving towards the vision of Mahatma Gandhi - Clean India and will continue with its efforts to encourage and educate people towards building a Clean and Green India. UPSO-II is the front-runner in achieving the core value of Indian Oil “Nation First”.
