Celebrating Academic Excellence: Degree Award Ceremony of 2022 & 2023 batches held at Dr SSBUICET

Chandigarh, March 30, 2024: Degree Award Ceremony honouring the academic achievements of Undergraduate and Postgraduate batches passed out in 2022 & 2023 was held today at Dr. SSB University Institute of Chemical Engineering & Technology (Dr.SSBUICET), conveyed by Prof.Anupama Sharma, Chairperson of the institute. She said that this ceremony marks a significant milestone in the journey of our students, recognizing their dedication, hard work and perseverance throughout their academic endeavours. She conveyed her heartfelt gratitude to each and every student for their dedicated commitment to the institute, celebrating their attainment of professional excellence in their chosen fields as well as their living example of perseverance, determination and dedication.

Ashok Dembla, President & Managing Director of Humboldt Wedag India was the Chief Guest of the event.He started his career from Cement Research Institute and has experience of about 43 years in cement Industry. He is 1981 alumnus of Dr. SSBUICET (Formerly Dept. of Chemical Engineering & Technology) and has post graduate diploma in Business Management. He urged the students to embrace challenges with tenacity.

Subhat Kumar Jindal, Executive Vice President, Aarti Industries, Gujrat was the guest of honour.A leader having 35 years of diverse work experience in world class organisations like Aarti Industries, Grasim Industries Limited, Nagda, Indian Acrylics Limited, Sangrur, SRF Limited, Chennai, Lanxess India Private Ltd, Nagda, UPL Limited, Jhagadia&Dahej, he has successfully led all the operation functions in a multi-plant, multibusiness and multi-cultural environment. He also emphasised the value of resourcefulness and the ability to adjust to a changing environment. He said that one needs to think creatively and push themselves beyond their comfort zones in order to succeed in their work.

More than 250 UG and PG students received the degrees during the ceremony. The Departmental representatives and toppers of each class were also honoured during the event with institute colour blazers. The students who worked tirelessly to make CYANIDE Fest a resounding success were also honoured during the event.
