Chandigarh, November 27, 2025: The Centre for Distance and Online Education, Panjab University, Chandigarh today organised a special lecture on "Creating Safe Workplaces: Understanding the POSH Act, 2013" in collaboration with Panjab University Internal Complaints Committee (PUICC).
Prof. Y.P. Verma, Registrar, Panjab University, the Chief Guest, appreciated the initiatives of CDOE in strengthening technical infrastructure, video recording facility.
Dr. Upneet Kaur Mangat, Chairperson, Centre for Human Rights and Duties, P.U., delivered the keynote address. Her lecture aimed to raise awareness about the POSH Act, 2013, and its importance in creating safe workplaces.
Prof. Harsh Gandhar, Director, CDOE welcomed the distinguishing guests , faculty and staff and presented the major initiatives of the department
The concluding remarks and vote of thanks was delivered by Prof Madhurima Verma, Presiding Officer, PUICC.
The event was convened by Dr Ravinder Kaur and Dr Anil Kumar, faculty of CDOE, P.U., Chandigarh.
