CCTVs mandatory for main religious places: Kangra DC

Dharamshala: Deputy Commissioner of Kangra Rakesh Prajapati told that it will be mandatory for all the main religious places of the district to install Close Circuit Television Cameras (CCTVs) in their premises at all important points within three days. Specific orders have been issued to the religious places and if any religious place fails to abide by, action will be taken against the management of the concerned religious place as per law.
Prajapati said, “The entry of public had already been banned in all the Shaktipeeths, temples, mosques, churches, gurudwaras and other religious places of the district. CCTVs are being installed at such places so that visiting of pilgrims could be monitored.” He told that all such steps were being taken to contain the threat of Corona virus in the district.
He informed that there is a complete ban on selling of books and stationery in school premises while such shops and stores would remain open only in markets on Monday and Thursday from 8 am to 11 am.
He said that the people who had been home quarantined would have to complete the stipulated period of 28 days at their home only. The period would be counted from the day, it was brought into the notice of the administration or the persons concerned would have to produce documents or evidences of their entry in the district.
The India Tibet Friendship Association(ITFA) presented a check of Rs.100000  to the Deputy Commissioner , Mr. Rakesh Prajapati in Dharamshala on Monday. Mr. Ramswaroop Sharma, the Chief Advisor and Mr. Kunga Cheering, Vice President of ITFA presented the cheque. This institution has been associated with social service since 1995.
