CBI arrests Superintending Archeologist in bribery case

New Delhi/Jalandhar, February 19, 2014:The Central Bureau Of Investigation has today arrested Superintending Archeologist, Goa Circle for demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs.10,000/- from the Complainant.
The Complainant, a Line Producer alleged in his complaint that , Superintending Archaeologist, Goa Circle has demanded a bribe of Rs. 10,000 for releasing the security deposit amount and giving permission for shooting in future without any hindrance.
CBI registered a case and laid a trap. The accused was caught red-handed, while demanding and accepting the bribe of Rs. 10,000 from the complainant.
Searches are being carried out at the residential premises of the accused.
