New Delhi, April5, 2014: The Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested a Group Captain, Air Force Station, Devalali, Nashik (Maharashtra) for demanding & accepting a bribe of Rs. 50,000 from the Complainant.
The Complainant (a Civil Contractor) alleged that the Group Captain had demanded bribe from him for handing over of construction site. CBI registered a case and after verification of complaint, laid a trap. The accused was caught while demanding & accepting a bribe of Rs.50,000 from the Complainant. Searches were conducted at the residential & office premises of accused and incriminating documents were recovered.
The arrested accused was produced today before the Competent Court at Nashik. Further investigation is in progress.
