CBC Hisar Organizes Special Programme to Celebrate the 150th Anniversary of ‘Vande Mataram’
To commemorate the 150th anniversary of the national song ‘Vande Mataram’, the Field Office of the Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), Hisar, under the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India, organized a special programme in Bhiwani. The event also featured activities highlighting Mission LiFE and the message ‘Say No to Single-Use Plastic’.

Bhiwani/Chandigarh, November 14, 2025: To commemorate the 150th anniversary of the national song ‘Vande Mataram’, the Field Office of the Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), Hisar, under the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India, organized a special programme in Bhiwani. The event also featured activities highlighting Mission LiFE and the message ‘Say No to Single-Use Plastic’.
Rajesh Vats (IFS), Deputy Conservator of Forests, Bhiwani, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. He extended his greetings on the completion of 150 years of ‘Vande Mataram’ and urged citizens to actively contribute to environmental conservation and nation-building as responsible members of society.
Gulzar Malik, Commissioner, Municipal Corporation Bhiwani, attended the event as the Guest of Honour. He emphasized avoiding the use of single-use plastic and spoke about the significance of public participation in achieving a cleaner and healthier India.
Dr. Savita Ghanghas, Principal, Government Model Sanskriti Senior Secondary School, Bhiwani, remarked that the programme was highly effective in instilling environmental awareness among students.
The cultural troupe of CBC presented impactful performances, conveying strong messages on environmental protection through folk dance and nukkad natak.
The programme was planned and successfully executed by Nodal Officer of CBC Hisar Neeraj Mehlawat and his team. The event also included an open quiz, painting competition, and speech competition, following which the winners were felicitated with prizes.
