Catch the heartwarming tale of three generations in Sony SAB’s Dil Diyaan Gallaan, premiering on 12th December

Sony SAB’ heart-warming family drama, Dil Diyaan Gallaan is set to hit your televisions screens on 12th December, Monday to Saturday 7.30 pm. The show traces the journey of three generations with their roots in Punjab and features veteran actor Pankaj Berry along with an ensemble cast including Kaveri Priyam, Jasjeet Babbar, Sandeep Baswana, Ravi Gossain and Hema Sood among others. The show highlights a Punjabi family grappling with the consequences of migration just like the predicament of many families in India who are distanced from their loved ones due to migration, misunderstandings and unspoken words. 

The tale opens with the India day celebration in New York where Dr Mandeep Brar (played by Sandeep Baswana) is receiving an award. He expresses that how it was his father, Dilpreet Brar’s (Pankaj Berry) dream to see him as a doctor in Hoshiarpur. He further reveals how he had a fallout with this father because of this choices and has never returned to his hometown since then. Amidst the father son’s on-going rift, Mandeep’s daughter Amrita (played by Kaveri Priyam) is required to visit India. As fate rolls its dice, Amrita’s professor turns out to be Veer (played by Paras Arora). Destiny brings Amrita to her roots back in her father’s homeland Hoshiarpur. 

Will Amrita’s destiny bring her face to face with her grandfather?  

Pankaj Berry, who plays the role of Dilpreet, shared his experience, “Dilpreet’s character represents most of the Indian parents, I connect to this character too at various points. Having your child away from you is the biggest pain a parent can experience in their lifetime which Dilpreet is going through at the moment. With the beginning of this show on Sony SAB, we wish to spread a heartfelt message across our audience.”

Kaveri Priyam, who plays the role of Amrita, shared her experience, “I totally relate to Amrita's character, and I felt a strong connection with her while shooting for Dil Diyaan Gallaan.
