Chandigarh, November 07, 2025: A Career Awareness and Resume Building workshop was successfully organized at Home Science College in collaboration with Gian Jyoti Institute of Management and Technology (GJIMT), aimed at enhancing students’ employability and career readiness skills on Thursday.
Dr. Shruti, Assistant Professor at GJIMT, was the resource person for the session. She guided students on effective resume writing techniques, presentation, and tailoring resumes for different job roles. The workshop also included valuable insights on creating a professional LinkedIn profile to strengthen digital presence and networking opportunities.
The interactive session engaged students through live demonstrations and hands-on activities. Participants were provided with sample resume formats to practice and refine their own resumes. More than 100 students from undergraduate and postgraduate classes enthusiastically attended the workshop.
The Principal of college appreciated the efforts of the IEP team and emphasized the importance of such initiatives in preparing students for professional success. She encouraged students to implement the knowledge gained in their future career pursuits.
The event concluded with an interactive Q&A session, where students clarified their queries and received personalized feedback. The collaboration between Home Science College and GJIMT was lauded for providing a practical and enriching learning experience.
