Capacity Building Programme: AI Unlocked for Future-Ready Teaching
A one-day CBSE Capacity Building Programme on the Use of Artificial Intelligence in Classrooms was successfully organized, exclusive for the school staff, on 11th April in the premises of DRV DAV Centenary Public School, Phillaur, with the aim of equipping teachers with modern technological tools and pedagogical strategies.
Jalandhar, April 13, 2026: A one-day CBSE Capacity Building Programme on the Use of Artificial Intelligence in Classrooms was successfully organized, exclusive for the school staff, on 11th April in the premises of DRV DAV Centenary Public School, Phillaur, with the aim of equipping teachers with modern technological tools and pedagogical strategies. Rohit Malhotra from MGN Public School, Jalandhar and Amit Kumar from Cambridge Innovative School, Jalandhar were the resource persons.
They elaborated on the concept of Artificial Intelligence and clearly explained the difference between AI and automated machines, helping the participants understand how AI goes beyond simple programmed responses to provide intelligent and adaptive solutions. They emphasized that AI should be viewed as a supportive companion for teachers rather than a replacement, enabling educators to enhance their teaching practices.
The workshop included demonstrations of various AI tools that can be effectively integrated into classroom teaching to make lessons more engaging, personalized, and efficient. The resource persons shared practical examples and strategies for using AI in lesson planning, assessment, and student engagement. Teachers were encouraged to use AI ethically and responsibly while ensuring student data safety.
Thought-provoking and insightful videos were also shown, which helped in deepening the understanding of AI and its real-world applications in education. The session was highly interactive, with teachers actively participating, asking questions, and sharing their experiences.
Principal, Dr Yogesh Gambhir expressed his heartfelt gratitude to both the esteemed resource persons, Rohit Malhotra and Amit Kumar, for conducting such an enlightening and engaging session. He emphasized the importance of using these technologies wisely, responsibly, and ethically, keeping in mind the safety and well-being of students.
