Capacity building program for security guards of Panjab University concludes

Chandigarh, March 12, 2022: A five days Capacity Building Program for Security Guards of Panjab University was concluded in the seminar hall of Centre for Police Administration, Panjab University on 12th March 2022. 

The program was organized by Centre for Police Administration in collaboration with Human Resource Development Centre (HRDC), Panjab University, Chandigarh. Sh. K.B. Singh, IG (Retd.) Punjab Police and Former ADC of Governor Punjab Sh. V.P. Singh Badnore, was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Prof. Anil Monga, Chairperson, Centre for Police Administration and Coordinator of the program, read the report of the program and shared with the guests and participants that during these five days, the sessions on techniques of public dealing, role and responsibilities of security guards, first aid, traffic management, dharna/strike/crowd management, fire management, usage of communication instruments, patrolling and surveillance, yoga and meditation, etiquettes, healthy lifestyle and drill were conducted by inviting experts from Haryana Police, Chandigarh Police, Max Hospital, Mohali, Chandigarh Fire Brigade and distinguished faculty from Panjab University. 

Dr. Jayanti Dutta, Deputy Director, HRDC and fellow, Panjab University and Prof. Promila Pathak, Professor and Chairperson, Department of Botany and Chairperson, PU Security Committee were the Guest of Honors on the occasion. 

The capacity building program was attended by 40 security guards of Panjab University and concluded by distribution of certificates to all the participants by the Chief Guest. Mr. Vikram Singh, Chief Security Officer, Panjab University proposed the vote of thanks.
