Bengaluru, October 29, 2025: As part of the ongoing Vigilance Awareness Week 2025, Canara Bank organized a Vigilance Awareness Walkathon today to promote integrity, transparency and collective responsibility in public life.
The Walkathon was flagged off at 7:00 AM from Dwarakanath Bhavan, Nettakallappa Circle, Basavanagudi, Bengaluru, by the Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of Canara Bank, K Satyanarayana Raju, in the presence of Executive Directors Bhavendra Kumar and  S K Majumdar and the Chief Vigilance Officer of the Bank, Nabin Kumar Dash.
The event was organised in alignment with the CVC’s theme for the year – “Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility”, underscoring the collective role of every citizen, employee and institution in building a corruption-free India.  
Senior executives and employees from Head Office, Circle Office and other verticals of Canara Bank participated enthusiastically in the 3-kilometre Walkathon, conveying the message of integrity and accountability in public service.
Speaking on the occasion, K Satyanarayana Raju, MD & CEO, reaffirmed the Bank’s commitment to strengthening a culture of transparency and preventive vigilance across all levels of operations. Nabin Kumar Dash, the Chief Vigilance Officer of Canara Bank emphasized that vigilance is not an annual ritual, but a sustained responsibility to build trust and ethical governance.
