Canadian International School celebrates Teacher’s Day with joy and gusto
Bangalore, September 5, 2019: Teacher's Day was celebrated with joy and gusto at Canadian International School (CIS) today. Apart from students wishing their teachers in a special way by holding up appreciative banners and placards, they also had the opportunity to purchase flowers and cards for their teachers. The School Community Association (SCA) put up stalls selling beautiful roses and thoughtful gift cards for students to purchase. Teachers were treated to delicious chocolates too! Students at CIS hold a yearly tradition of giving flowers to teachers. The flowers are a symbol of gratitude and respect towards the faculty for their dedication and commitment to inculcate the best knowledge and perspectives among the students. Dr.Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, who was President of India, is remembered on this day for his vast intellectual prowess and his contribution to the betterment of teachers. Commenting on this celebration, Shweta Sastri, Managing Director, Canadian International School said: “Our teachers are an inspiration to us all. Year after year, they have moulded and shaped our students into responsible, caring, and successful individuals. At CIS, every day is Teacher's Day - every day is a celebration of our teachers for their commitment towards creating the empowered, global citizens."
