Bangalore, May 25, 2026: Canadian International School (CIS), Bangalore, celebrated the momentous graduation of its Class of 2026. The ceremony, centered around the inspiring theme "To Infinity and Beyond," marked a significant milestone for the graduating seniors as they prepare to step out into the world and launch into their future endeavors.
The event was a beautiful blend of nostalgia, pride, and forward-looking optimism, attended by board members, leadership, faculty, parents, and students.
This year, CIS was incredibly proud to welcome back one of its own as the Guest of Honour: Vignesh Nambiar, a distinguished CIS Alumnus. Addressing the graduating class, Nambiar shared reflections on his journey after walking the very same halls, inspiring the graduates to embrace risks, remain resilient, and push past conventional boundaries—perfectly embodying the spirit of this year's theme.
Speaking on the occasion, Shweta Sastri, Managing Director, Canadian International School, expressed her pride in the graduating cohort: "The Class of 2026 has shown exceptional grit, intellect, and creativity. Our theme this year, 'To Infinity and Beyond,' is a true reflection of their limitless potential. At CIS, we have always strived to nurture global citizens who don't just adapt to the future, but actively shape it. I am confident that these young leaders will take the values of compassion, integrity, and lifelong learning into the world and make a profound impact."
Dr. Ted Mockrish, Head of School, also shared his thoughts on power of joy and celebration: "Today was a wonderful and joyous occasion for so many families at CIS who have been with us through the years.  The sense of humour that pervaded throughout today’s speakers from our Guest of Honour to our Valedictorian, it’s great to see joy and happiness in this very special day for our seniors.  I wish them all the very best in their future”.
