Jalandhar, December 20, 2018: Keeping in view the core aim of education to foster aesthetic development, growth and dexterity of learners, CISFG decided to dedicate all efforts to its mission of glorifying life not by words but by deeds. This thought has led to the foundation of ‘We Care ‘program which believes in creating an environment of empathy, compassion, confidence and kindness. The program has been initiated by our Chief Patron Sri M Sir to ensure that we as a society become the best version of ourselves as far as possible. Keeping afloat this spirit, the Cambridge family came up with ‘Carnival’ and the ‘Annual Concert’ on 20th December 2018.
‘The Concert’ acknowledged the academically meritorious and the students who have excelled in different fields thus bringing in laurels for the instituition. The event commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by our Chief Guest, Ms. Aishwarya Solanki, the dignitaries and our worthy Principal, Ms. Deepa Dogra. It was a proud moment for the school as the Chief Guest, Ms. Aishwarya Solanki , the first batch holder of Cambridge 2010-11, has scaled great heights of success and currently teaching at the University of Texas, U.S.A. The event was graced with the presence of our esteemed Chairman Mr. Ajay Bhatia, the Vice-Chairman, Mr.Nitin Kohli, President Mr.Deepak Bhatia, Chairman Advisory Committee, Mr. J.K Kohli , the Secretariat, the Vice-Principal, Ms.Preeti Sharma and the Head Mistresses. The auditorium reverberated with the colourful and soulful performances of the Cambridge girls. This was entailed by the Award Distribuition Ceremony, where our students were bestowed with trophies and Certificates for achieving success in categories like: Acadamic excellence, Star budding leader, Mind Raiser and excellence in Sports. This was followed by the Annual Report. Our Chief Academic Officer and Principal Ms. Deepa Dogra congratulated the proud parents and appreciated the incredible efforts of the students.
The ‘Carnival’ witnessed immense participation by students, their parents and public at large. Various game catering to the interest of kids ,stalls were put up at the carnival for the entertainment of visitors. Stalls offering games like Pick up the coins, Roll The Dice, Ladder Toss, Tic Tac Toe, Toss the ball and Fun Zone articulated the artistic and creative abilities of the students. The carnival had something in store for everybody, be it children or adults. Nail art and tattoo were added attractions. Tambola and the Selfie corner mesmerised majority of the crowd.
The school grounds pulsated with scintillating music and a lively crowd. Music on demand was the all time favourite. The alluring decorations added gaiety to the atmosphere
A stall with the difference ‘We Care’ urged the gathering to wear their thinking caps and participate to preserve environment. It was all about a thoughtful act of planting trees to make the earth a safe haven for the future generations.
An array of edible delights, raffle draw and exciting prizes ensured an unforgettable time with near and dear ones. The mouth- watering Tikki, Channa Bhature, Pav Bhaji, Idli and Dosa, Noodles and Manchurian, French Fries, Burgers and Ice-Cream gave a rollicking ride to the ‘foodies’ and ‘non-foodies’ alike. The aromatic coffee, the refreshing juices and cold-drinks quenched the thirst of many.
That was not all! The girls of CISFG kept in mind to excite and satisfy the palates of the visitors by coming up with a variety of delicacies like muffins, chocolates and shakes that added on to the culinary and was savored by many
The Raffle Stall, with its attractive prizes like Laptop, Tablet, microwave, mobile phone, home theatre, wrist watch, mixer grinder, induction cook top, rice cooker and dinner set added to the ecstasy of the crowd.
Our very special children were not left behind. The Special Needs Children came up with many hand made and creative environment friendly products for the occasion.
Parents are integral partners in their child's education. By turning up at the carnival, they demonstrated their commitment to this role.
The management, the staff and the students instilled vigor and vibrancy in the atmosphere. The event was diligently organized and there was a soul to it that was contagious and exuberant. All through its preparation, the students toiled, co-operated, created, enjoyed and practiced individual integrity, commitment to service and aim for excellence which are some of the core values the school endeavours to instill in its students. The tireless efforts of the students contributed immensely to this extravagant affair.
