Cadaveric Workshop in UHSR for the first time
As part of the three-day long 44th North Zone Orthopedic Association Conference (NZOACON) 2026, organized by the Department of Orthopedics at Pandit Bhagwat Dayal Sharma University of Health Sciences, the first cadaveric workshop was held in the Anatomy Department of PGIMS.
Rohtak, February 14, 2026: As part of the three-day long 44th North Zone Orthopedic Association Conference (NZOACON) 2026, organized by the Department of Orthopedics at Pandit Bhagwat Dayal Sharma University of Health Sciences, the first cadaveric workshop was held in the Anatomy Department of PGIMS.
Cadaveric workshop coordinators Dr. Aarti and Dr. Kamal Singh described the workshop as a historic achievement for the institute, saying that this was the first time such a cadaveric workshop had been held at PGIMS, Rohtak.
Dr. Aarti said that this workshop provided an excellent opportunity for practical training for orthopedic specialists and provided hands-on experience for surgeons.
Dr. Roop Singh, Dr. Ashish Devgan and Dr. Jitendra Wadhwani from the Department of Orthopedics honored Dr. S.K. Rathi (HOD Anatomy) and presented him a memento.
Orthopedic surgeons and representatives from India and abroad participated in the program. 20 participants and 10 faculty members participated in the Knee Arthroscopy session, 12 participants and 7 faculty members participated in the Spine Workshop; and 15 participants and 8 faculty members participated in the Primary Knee Arthroplasty.
Dr. Ajay Sheoran, Dr. Umesh Yadav and Dr. Sahil Arora from the Department of Orthopedics and Dr. Alex Lawrence from the Department of Anatomy along with participants attended the workshop.
