Cabinet Minister Tarunpreet Singh Sond on Friday night welcomed the grand Nagar Kirtan organised to commemorate the 350th martyrdom anniversary of the ninth Sikh Guru, Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji after it entered Khanna town.

Khanna, November 21, 2025: Cabinet Minister Tarunpreet Singh Sond on Friday night welcomed the grand Nagar Kirtan organised to commemorate the 350th martyrdom anniversary of the ninth Sikh Guru, Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji after it entered Khanna town.
Accompanied by Payal MLA Manwinder Singh Giaspura and hundreds of devotees, the Minister showered flower petals on the Palki Sahib carrying Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji.
Speaking on the occasion, Sond said, “Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji made the supreme sacrifice to protect religion, and the right of every human being to practise their faith freely. His unparalleled martyrdom continues to inspire humanity."
The Minister added that the Punjab government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, is committed to spreading the Guru Ji’s eternal message of truth, religious freedom, and standing firm against tyranny across the world.
