Cabinet Minister Tarunpreet Singh Sond participates in Murti Sthapana Diwas, announces Rs 5 Lakh Grant
Cabinet Minister Tarunpreet Singh Sond participated in the Murti Sthapana Diwas celebrations dedicated to Lord Vishwakarma at Vishwakarma Mandir in the New Abadi locality on Sunday.
Khanna (Ludhiana), April 19, 2026: Cabinet Minister Tarunpreet Singh Sond participated in the Murti Sthapana Diwas celebrations dedicated to Lord Vishwakarma at Vishwakarma Mandir in the New Abadi locality on Sunday.
Addressing the gathering, Sond highlighted that global industrial and infrastructure development is a direct result of Lord Vishwakarma’s blessings. He described Lord Vishwakarma as the supreme architect of the universe and the master of all machinery and tools used in industrial processes. He emphasized that the Punjab Government is prioritizing skill development among youth across the state, enabling them to lead lives of dignity and self-reliance in line with the teachings and principles of Lord Vishwakarma.
Sond also urged the younger generation to actively support the government’s efforts for the overall development of Punjab. He commended the initiatives undertaken by the temple management committee and acknowledged their role in community development.
On the occasion, Sond also said that he had sanctioned a grant of Rs 5 lakh last year for the construction of a community hall at the temple. He further announced an additional grant of Rs 5 lakh to support the ongoing work.
The Vishwakarma Temple management committee also felicitated the Cabinet Minister in recognition of his contributions.
