Cabinet Minister Tarunpreet Singh Sond on Sunday laid the foundation stone of an Aam Aadmi Clinic (AAC) to come up at a cost of Rs 30 lakh in village Ghungrali Rajputan.

Khanna (Ludhiana), May 10, 2026: Cabinet Minister Tarunpreet Singh Sond on Sunday laid the foundation stone of an Aam Aadmi Clinic (AAC) to come up at a cost of Rs 30 lakh in village Ghungrali Rajputan. 
In his address, Minister Tarunpreet Singh Sond stated hundreds of families will receive free medical treatment, including diagnostic tests, medicines, and others. He informed that a total of 990 Aam Aadmi Clinics are operating across Punjab and crores of people have benefited from these clinics so far. Among them, nearly 1 crore people received medicines once and did not require further treatment, around 3 crore people visited for general check-ups two to three times, and approximately 50,000–60,000 patients are receiving continuous treatment. He further added that the link roads connecting village Ghungrali Rajputan would also be completed soon. 
Sond further stated that 107 types of medicines are available at these clinics, and doctors are present to provide completely free consultations. The clinics have especially benefited senior citizens, mothers, sisters, and other residents. He described the Bhagwant Singh Mann government as a people-centric government that understands the daily needs of citizens. He also added that seven Aam Aadmi Clinics are already functioning in the Khanna constituency, including three in villages and four in Khanna city. He said people no longer need to suffer due to lack of medical treatment. He also highlighted the Mukh Mantri Sehat Bima Yojna under which health cards are being issued. He urged every family to obtain the Rs 10 lakh health insurance card, stating that the scheme can provide crucial assistance in the treatment of serious illnesses.
