Khanna, Ludhiana, June 21, 2025: Cabinet Minister Tarunpreet Singh Sond on Saturday asked people to embrace yoga as an essential part of their daily lives, encouraging regular practice for a healthier and more balanced lifestyle.
Addressing a gathering at an event organized at Shri Ram Mandir in Khanna on the occasion of International Yoga Day, Sond said that in today’s stressful times, when various diseases pose a serious threat to human life, yoga can play a significant role in keeping individuals healthy and fit. He urged people to practice yoga for at least one hour daily to get its health benefits.
Sond highlighted that yoga is an essential and beneficial for both physical and mental well-being, helping to protect the body from illness. He further stressed that everyone should incorporate yoga activities into their daily lives to stay physically fit. He said by embracing yoga, one can not only improve mental health but also maintain physical well-being.
On this occasion, the Cabinet Minister announced a grant of Rs 50,000 for the renovation of the yoga classroom at the Indian Yoga Day Institute.
