Cabinet Minister Tarunpreet Singh Sond on Sunday urged the people to adopt the teachings of Bhagat Namdev Ji in their daily lives for the greater welfare of society.
Khanna (Ludhiana), November 2, 2025: Cabinet Minister Tarunpreet Singh Sond on Sunday urged the people to adopt the teachings of Bhagat Namdev Ji in their daily lives for the greater welfare of society.
Speaking at the Prakash Divas celebrations held at Gurdwara Shiromani Bhagat Namdev Ji in Khanna, Sond said, “We must incorporate the profound thoughts and sayings of Bhagat Namdev Ji into our routine actions. His guidance shows us how to work for societal betterment while remaining connected to the Divine.” He emphasized that Bhagat Namdev Ji taught the importance of chanting the Lord’s Name even amid daily chores, staying away from evil deeds, and walking firmly on the path of truth.
Extending heartfelt wishes on the occasion, Sond highlighted how Bhagat Namdev Ji’s divine message continues to inspire humanity to build a society free from caste discrimination, fostering brotherhood and social harmony.
Noting that 61 Shabads of Bhagat Namdev Ji are enshrined in 18 Ragas of Sri Guru Granth Sahib, the Minister stressed the need to widely propagate such teachings to promote peace, stability, and equality in society.
Sond also announced a grant of Rs 5 lakh from his discretionary quota to support the ongoing construction of the new building at the Gurdwara complex. The managing committee also honoured him with a robe of honour.
