Cabinet Minister Rana Gurjeet Singh lays foundation stone of Government ITI at village Sowaddi Kalan

Mullanpur (Ludhiana), December 4, 2021: Punjab Technical Education and Industrial Training Minister Rana Gurjeet Singh laid the foundation stone of Government Industrial Training Institute (ITI) at Sowaddi Kalan village near Mullanpur town of Ludhiana district.

The cabinet minister was also accompanied by senior Congress leader Capt Sandeep Singh Sandhu, former minister Malkit Singh Dakha, former MLA Gurdeep Singh Bhaini, PSIDC Chairman KK Bawa, District congress committee Ludhiana (rural) president Karanjit Singh Soni Galib, Vice chairman of PEDA Dr. Karan Warring, besides several others.

After laying the foundation stone of Government ITI, the cabinet minister addressed a large gathering and expressed his happiness by stating that today the dream of former chief minister Beant Singh has been fulfilled as today the foundation stone of ITI has been laid here in Sowaddi Kalan village that too under the dynamic leadership of Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi.

“Former chief minister Beant Singh had dreamed of establishing an ITI around 25-26 years ago and therefore, this government ITI will be named after him,” he said.

The cabinet minister released an amount of around Rs 2.50 crore for building and around Rs 3.50 crore for equipment for this establishment.

While addressing the gathering, Captain Sandeep Singh Sandhu said that he was very grateful to the Cabinet Minister Rana Gurjeet Singh for starting an industrial training institute in this Sowaddi Kalan village. He added that the development works in Dakha constituency are in full swing and he gave credit to chief minister Charanjit Singh Channi for bringing the state on the path of progress.
