Cabinet minister, MLAs continue mega cleanliness drive across city; take feedback from residents for better coordination and improvement
With an aim to make the mega cleanliness drive launched across the city a public movement, Cabinet Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian, MLA Rajinder Pal Kaur Chhina, MLA Madan Lal Bagga, MLA Ashok Prashar Pappi and MLA Daljit Singh Bhola Grewal continued cleanliness drives in their respective constituencies on Wednesday.

Ludhiana, April 30, 2025: With an aim to make the mega cleanliness drive launched across the city a public movement, Cabinet Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian, MLA Rajinder Pal Kaur Chhina, MLA Madan Lal Bagga, MLA Ashok Prashar Pappi and MLA Daljit Singh Bhola Grewal continued cleanliness drives in their respective constituencies on Wednesday.
While Punjab Housing and Urban Development Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian launched the drive in Urban Estate, Jamalpur; Ludhiana South MLA Rajinder Pal Kaur Chhina launched the drive at Springdale school road and Ludhiana North MLA Madan Lal Bagga launched the drive at Malhi Palace road.
Similarly, Ludhiana Central MLA Ashok Prashar Pappi launched the cleanliness drive in Khud Mohalla, while Ludhiana East MLA Daljit Singh Bhola Grewal led the cleanliness drive in Shakti Nagar. Councillor Anita Nanchahal, Karan Nanchahal, Manpreet Manna, Anuj Chaudhary among others also participated in the cleanliness drives.
The Cabinet Minister and MLAs lauded the tireless efforts of sanitation workers in maintaining the city’s hygiene.
Reaffirming Chief Minister (CM) Bhagwant Singh Mann led Punjab government's commitment to ensure proper sanitation and hygiene, Cabinet Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian stated that the mega cleanliness drive has been going on since last week and it will continue in the coming days too. They are taking feedback from resident welfare associations/individuals too for public engagement and for making improvements, wherever required.
Treasurer of resident welfare society of Urban Estate-2, Jamalpur, Rajinder Bansal lauded this initiative taken by the state government wherein the cabinet minister and MLAs are themselves moving into the field to take stock of the situation and ensure cleanliness across the city.
MC Additional Commissioner Paramdeep Singh, Joint Commissioner Ankur Mahindroo, Joint Commissioner Abhishek Sharma, Zonal Commissioner Neeraj Jain, Zonal Commissioner Gurpal Singh among other civic body officials also participated in the cleanliness drives.
Apart from cleaning roads, parks etc, concerned officials of the civic body have also been directed to clean sewer lines/road gullies, wherever required. Fogging is also being conducted to keep the residents safe from vector borne diseases.
Cabinet Minister Mundian, MLA Chhina, MLA Bagga, MLA Prashar and MLA Grewal appealed to all residents of Ludhiana to join hands and make this drive a public movement for better future.
