Cabinet Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian lays foundation stones water supply schemes worth Rs 2.08 crores in Ludhiana
Aimed at enhancing water supply in villages Khwajke, Jassian, and Indra Colony, Punjab Water Supply and Sanitation Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian on Monday laid the foundation stones for two water supply schemes in Ludhiana, to be constructed at a cost of Rs 2.08 crores.

Ludhiana, August 4, 2025: Aimed at enhancing water supply in villages Khwajke, Jassian, and Indra Colony, Punjab Water Supply and Sanitation Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian on Monday laid the foundation stones for two water supply schemes in Ludhiana, to be constructed at a cost of Rs 2.08 crores.
Once completed, the supply of potable water will be enhanced in these areas hence benefiting thousands of residents.
The Minister stated that these schemes include modern infrastructure such as installation of new tubewells, reservoirs, pipelines, solar panels, chlorination units, and water connections, ensuring sustainable water supply and sanitation.
Mundian reiterated that the Punjab Government, under Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, is committed to provide quality modern civic infrastructure at par with urban areas in the villages. With these projects, the longstanding drinking water issue in these areas will be resolved, ensuring clean water at the doorstep of every household.
The Minister further added that the Punjab government has already launched a slew of initiatives, including free electricity, Aam Aadmi Clinics, Yudh Nashya Virudh and multiple development projects, which are driving holistic state progress. He added that a new healthcare scheme is being launched soon further revolutionize access to free medical services up to Rs 10 lakh, transforming Punjab’s healthcare system for the benefit of all residents.
