Cabinet Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian on Sunday laid foundation stones of nine major road infrastructure projects to public in the Sahnewal assembly constituency on Sunday.

Ludhiana, Oct 12, 2025: Cabinet Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian on Sunday laid foundation stones of nine major road infrastructure projects to public in the Sahnewal assembly constituency on Sunday.
These projects will strengthen connectivity in the villages and facilitate smoother transportation, have a total length of approximately 17.83 kilometers and an estimated cost of Rs 347.81 lakh.
The projects include the road from Kohara Machhiwara Road to Raipur and from Rajur to Kohara Machhiwara Road (7.65 km, Rs 136.96 lakh) from Kohara Machhiwara Road to Prathipur (1.85 km, Rs 29.75 lakh), from Jiyunewal to Kalas Kalan (1.70 km, Rs 36.15 lakh), from Chaunta to Miyani (1.30 km, Rs 29.57 lakh), from Haarhiyan to Hiyatpura (1.38 km, Rs 19.26 lakh), from Satiyana to Bhupana (1.15 km, Rs 23.06 lakh), from Balieywal to Jionewal (1.20 km, Rs 15.75 lakh), the Jiyunewal Bypass (0.40 km, Rs 7.10 lakh), and from Harhiyan to Kohara Machhiwara Road (1.20 km, Rs 50.21 lakh).
Speaking at the events, Mundian stated that the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann is dedicated to prioritizing infrastructure development, with a focus on sustainable and inclusive growth. These road projects mark a significant step toward achieving that vision.
The Minister also highlighted the transformative impact of these projects, stating that these roads are not just pathways but will promote growth. These projects will benefit residents, businesses, and commuters by improving accessibility and reducing travel time across key routes.
