Cabinet Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian lays foundation stones for two Aam Aadmi Clinics and one Health & Wellness Centre worth Rs 125.5 lakh
In a major boost to rural healthcare infrastructure, Cabinet Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian on Saturday laid the foundation stones for two new Aam Aadmi Clinics in villages Chaunta and Booth Garh, along with a Health and Wellness Centre at Khasi Kalan.
Ludhiana, May 16, 2026: In a major boost to rural healthcare infrastructure, Cabinet Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian on Saturday laid the foundation stones for two new Aam Aadmi Clinics in villages Chaunta and Booth Garh, along with a Health and Wellness Centre at Khasi Kalan.
The projects worth Rs 125.5 lakh, are aimed to ensure accessible and quality healthcare services for people residing in rural and adjoining areas.
Addressing the people during the foundation stone laying ceremonies, Minister Mundian said that the Punjab Government is fully committed to strengthening the healthcare system and providing quality medical services at the grassroots level. He stated that these healthcare institutions will significantly improve medical accessibility for villagers and nearby residents by offering modern and affordable healthcare facilities closer to their homes.
“The Punjab Government had promised the people before the assembly elections that healthcare and education would be given top priority. Since 2022, the Aam Aadmi Party government has undertaken revolutionary and comprehensive works in both sectors, transforming public service delivery across the state,” said Mundian.
The Minister highlighted that the establishment of Aam Aadmi Clinics has emerged as a game-changing initiative in state's healthcare sector, enabling Punjabis to avail free consultations, diagnostic tests and essential medicines without financial burden. He further said that the Health and Wellness Centre at Khasi Kalan will strengthen preventive and primary healthcare services while ensuring better healthcare outreach in rural belts.
Mundian reiterated that the state government under the leadership of the Aam Aadmi Party is continuously working to upgrade public healthcare infrastructure, improve facilities in villages and make quality treatment accessible to every citizen irrespective of economic background.
The people of areas welcomed the projects and expressed gratitude to the Cabinet Minister for prioritising rural development and public welfare initiatives.
