Cabinet Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian inaugurates two-days photo exhibition 'One Thousand Words' by Ludhiana Photojournalist Association
A two-day photo exhibition titled One Thousand Words, organized by the Ludhiana Photojournalist Association to celebrate World Photography Day, commenced with great enthusiasm at Sutlej Club. Punjab Cabinet Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian, Mayor Principal Inderjit Kaur, and Additional Deputy Commissioner Amarjit Bains graced the inaugural ceremony as chief guests.

Ludhiana, August 19, 2025: A two-day photo exhibition titled One Thousand Words, organized by the Ludhiana Photojournalist Association to celebrate World Photography Day, commenced with great enthusiasm at Sutlej Club. Punjab Cabinet Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian, Mayor Principal Inderjit Kaur, and Additional Deputy Commissioner Amarjit Bains graced the inaugural ceremony as chief guests.
In his address, Cabinet Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian praised the Ludhiana Photojournalist Association for their efforts in capturing the essence of Ludhiana’s beauty and diversity through their lenses. He emphasized the vital role of photography in preserving fleeting moments and fostering creativity in society. “This exhibition is a powerful tribute to the art of storytelling through photography. Each image narrates untold stories and unique moments that weave the rich tapestry of Ludhiana,” he said.
The exhibition features 42 captivating photographs by 21 talented photojournalists from various media houses, as highlighted by Kuldeep Singh Kala, President of the Ludhiana Photojournalist Association, and Gurmeet Singh, Chairman. The collection showcases a diverse range of themes, from bustling marketplaces and serene landscapes to candid portraits and abstract compositions, reflecting the multifaceted spirit of Ludhiana.
Distinguished guests, including President of Ramgarhia Education Council Ranjodh Singh, MLAs Madan Lal Bagga Ashok Parashar AAP District President (urban) Jatinder Singh Khangura; AAP Ludhiana Mahila President Manisha Kapoor,Sutlej Club Vice President Sanjay Kapoor; Executive Member Ruchi Bansal; Joint Secretary Simran Pal Singh Bindra; Bar Secretary Bhupinder Pal Singh; Mess Secretary Subodh Batish; Gurudwara Dukh Niwanaran Sahib President Pritpal Singh Pali; BJP District General Secretary Narinder Singh Malhi, Former director DAV School Satish Sharma, Senior activist Sham Lal Bhanot among the other dignitaries who visited the exhibition and applauded the work of photojournalists Himanshu Mahajan, Ashwani Dhiman, Inderjeet Verma, Kanwaldeep Dang, Neel Kamal Sharma, Saurabh Arora, Vishal Dhall, Satwinder Basra, Lucky Bhatti, Rakesh Moudgill, Ramesh Verma, Vijay Chayal, Vishal Garg, Ajay Nepal, Amit Bassi, Harjit Singh Khalsa, Harvinder Happy, Kuldeep Singh Kala, Gurmeet Singh, Gurpreet Singh and Manish Motton.
They lauded them for their efforts in showcasing the city's beauty and diversity through their lenses.
Hundreds of students from different colleges and schools of Ludhiana also visited the exhibition and applauded the work of shutterbugs.

The photographs showcased are a testament to the talent and dedication of the local photographers, who have skillfully captured the spirit, culture, and diversity of Ludhiana.
General Secretary Gurpreet Singh said that this exhibition will be open daily from 10 am to 6 pm, and the entry will be free. Himanshu Mahajan and Ashwani Dhiman said that the closing ceremony will be held on August 20 at 3 pm, in which dignitaries including Padma Shri Onkar Singh Pahwa and Police Commissioner Swapan Sharma will be the chief guests and Rajdeep Singh and Prabhjot Singh, Directors of Richville Group will be Guests of Honour.
