Cabinet Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian inaugurates road project worth Rs 5.31 crores
In a major boost to road connectivity, Punjab Cabinet Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian on Tuesday inaugurated modernization and up-gradation work of the Ludhiana-Rahon-Sirha-Mangat road. The project, estimated at Rs 5.31 crores, covers a stretch of 7.54 km with a proposed width ranging from 10 to 18 feet.
Ludhiana, March 24, 2026: In a major boost to road connectivity, Punjab Cabinet Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian on Tuesday inaugurated modernization and up-gradation work of the Ludhiana-Rahon-Sirha-Mangat road. The project, estimated at Rs 5.31 crores, covers a stretch of 7.54 km with a proposed width ranging from 10 to 18 feet.
Addressing the gathering, Mundian reiterated the state government’s commitment to improving road infrastructure under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann. He said the upgraded road would significantly ease commuting for local residents and reduce travel time. He directed officials to ensure the highest quality standards and strict adherence to other guidelines during construction. He also urged local residents to actively participate in monitoring the work to maintain transparency and timely completion
This is a people-centric government, and every road is being built for the convenience of the people,” Mundian emphasised. He added that the government has constituted flying squads to monitor the quality of roads connecting villages and cities across Punjab. He added that the up-gradation of this stretch was a long-pending demand of the people of the area, which has now been fulfilled.
