Ferozepur, January 8, 2026: Four members of a family, including a couple and their two minor daughters, were found dead under mysterious circumstances at their residence in Harman Nagar on today morning. Preliminary findings suggest that the man allegedly shot himself after killing his wife and children.
The deceased have been identified as Amandeep Singh (42), his wife Jasveer Kaur (40), and their daughters Manveer Kaur (10) and Parmeet Kaur (6). Amandeep, a builder and financer, had recently set up a salon in the city, which was scheduled to open soon.
The incident came to light when the housemaid found the doors locked from inside and alerted neighbours and the tenant living on the first floor. After repeated knocks went unanswered, the door was forced open, revealing the bodies lying in pools of blood.
Senior police officials, including SSP Bhupinder Singh, reached the spot. The SSP said investigations were underway, CCTV footage was being examined, and statements of neighbours and others had been recorded. A forensic team has also been called to probe the case from all angles.
