Hyderabad, August 13, 2023: Burgerman, the Indian Burger Brand inaugurates two cafes in Hyderabad, one at Banjara Hills and the other at Madhapur.  These are the first two cafes in Telangana.  In their portfolio, these are 19th and 20th stores.

The brand which predominantly has a presence in South India chalked out expansion plans in Telugu states.  Addressing the media at the launch, Sunil Cherian, the Founder and CEO who shot into fame in 2006 for their 133 kiosks of 25 sq ft turned a college business plan into a commercial venture while still studying at college in Chennai shared his business plans for the Telugu states

Now they plan to open 30 more stores in the next year in Telugu states.  Their franchisees are likely to invest INR 15 crore on the expansion they planned in Telugu state.  20 will come up in Hyderabad and the remaining ten will come up outside Hyderabad, in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. 
 

The typical store has to have an area anywhere between 600 sq ft to 1700 sq ft.  And needs to invest 40 to 50 lakhs. 
 

On the expansion in South India, Sunil Cherian, with his colleague Ramesh Krishnan, Operations Head, said there will be 100-plus outlets of Burger Brand in the next three years.  Last year we had 15 stores, next year we will touch 30, subsequently, 60 and three years down, we will reach 100 stores, he added. 
 

Since its launch, it has been the go-to comfort spot for teenagers, college students, and busy professionals.
 

The good old kiosk model is now in turned into a new avatar and is back in Hyderabad in its new avatar. Now those kiosks are transformed into 20 cafés across South India. Today it is a truly Indian Burger Brand. Contrary to the general notion that Burgers as junk food, Burgerman through its reengineering process offers ingredients sourced directly from farms, guilt-free burgers, which are healthy, modern, and nutritious.
 

On the occasion of the inauguration of the two new stores, they unveiled the "Freedom Burger" made in the true colours of the Indian Flag meticulously crafted to celebrate Independence Day. These culinary masterpieces are guilt-free Indian Burgers with a cultural homage and showcase the same to the media. We have used carrots, spinach juices to make Freedom Burgers.   It offers 25 varieties of burgers each in veg and non-vegetarian.
