Bureau Concludes Vigilance Awareness Week with City-Wide Walkathon
The Vigilance Bureau, Ludhiana successfully concluded Vigilance Awareness Week (27th October – 2nd November) with a large-scale Walkathon organized in collaboration with CityNeeds, Small Ideas Great Ideas, Philanthropy Club, and Marshall Aid Foundation. The initiative aimed to promote public awareness on transparency, integrity, and a corruption-free society.
Ludhiana, November 2, 2025: The Vigilance Bureau, Ludhiana successfully concluded Vigilance Awareness Week (27th October – 2nd November) with a large-scale Walkathon organized in collaboration with CityNeeds, Small Ideas Great Ideas, Philanthropy Club, and Marshall Aid Foundation. The initiative aimed to promote public awareness on transparency, integrity, and a corruption-free society.
The Walkathon saw participation from numerous NGOs, youth groups, and social organizations, who marched from different parts of the city and converged at Rose Garden for the closing ceremony.
The event was presided over by Rupinder Kaur Sra, SSP Vigilance Ludhiana, who addressed the gathering and emphasized the shared responsibility of citizens and institutions in fighting corruption.
“Vigilance is not only about punishment but also prevention. Every citizen must stand against corrupt practices and report them without fear. Our Hon’ble Chief Minister S Bhagwant Singh Mann had reiterated the Zero Tolerance Policy against corruption. Thus the 24 hours Anti Corruption Action Line 9501-200-200 was launched by Punjab Government in 2022.
Together, we can strengthen ethical behaviour transparency and public trust,” said SSP Rupinder Kaur Sra.
