Under the ₹1 Freedom Plan, customers will get a free SIM, unlimited calling, 1 GB daily data and 100 SMS for 24 days. The ₹2,399 annual plan offers 2 GB daily data, 100 SMS and 412 days’ validity.
For FTTH users, the ₹1,199 plan has been reduced to ₹1,111 per month, offering 200 Mbps speed, 27 OTT apps, 5,000 GB data and unlimited calling. Rural consumers can avail a ₹259 monthly plan with 25 Mbps speed, Waves OTT and unlimited calling.
Ahmed said BSNL’s indigenous 4G network is capable of being upgraded to 5G, while recent network optimisation has improved coverage, data speeds and call quality.
Satellite Service Extends Connectivity to Remote Areas
Ahmed said BSNL’s Global Satellite Phone Service is providing voice connectivity in remote areas beyond the reach of conventional mobile networks. The service is particularly useful in geographically challenging regions and during disasters, emergencies and other situations requiring reliable communication.
